Inspired

After spending the weekend at Bruce's parents', I was inspired to make jewelry after Bruce's sister (who makes beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and earrings) brought out her stuff. I asked her a few questions to get some insight into her process and hopefully we can get together some time so she can teach me some things ;) My favorite thing about making jewelry is that it can be so different and unique and fit different personalities depending on the style or color. I made a trip to Michaels and knew that I wanted to make a long necklace for my friend Caitlin who recently made me a shadow box with handmade felt flowers in it. I love exchanging gifts with her because we usually make each others' gifts, and handmade gifts are just great, aren't they? Anyways, I bought the beads with her in mind and kind of came up with the pattern and I think it turned out pretty! I was on such a jewelry-making high, that I made a charm bracelet for my sister. Here they are!
