I love to make simple jewelry and this is so easy if you have old beaded jewelry hanging around that you never wear. I am always tearing things apart to make something new. For me, making jewelry is relaxing (and its really fun to tell people I made them when they compliment my earrings). So to prove just how easy it is, I took some how-to pictures step by step.
Step 1: Gather tools. You'll need beads, wire cutters, round nose pliers, earring wires, wire rings, and wire stems. |
Step 2: Pick your beads and put the first bead on the wire stem. (You can put this between two smaller beads if you like) |
Step 3: Cut off excess wire, leaving just enough that you can roll into a loop. |
Step 4: Roll the excess wire using round nose pliers. Practice making loops with this tool before you get started. |
Step 5: Attach a bead by repeating first steps or charm using a ring. |
Step 6: Slide loop onto earring wire and squeeze shut. |
Oh and here are a few others I made... these will probably be gifted :)
Enjoy!
