I can't take full credit for this idea, which of course came from Pinterest: the homeland of all good ideas. I thought I could take this idea, originally from CraftPond.com (I'll share link below), and make it my own. I love making my own jewelry so I keep a candy jar full of beads, jewelry clasps, earring wires, wire pins, etc. that I have collected for a few years so I didn't have to go shopping for anything. Virtually free jewelry?! Sounds good to me. Here is what you will need if you don't keep a candy jar of jewelry making supplies: jewelry pliers and wire cutters, tiny beads, eye pins, necklace chain, and a ring and clasp.

Step 1: Slide beads on pins (these will be the "fringe")
Step 2: Curl edge of pin into a loop at the end using tools once beads are on
Step 3. Slide the loop of the beaded pin on a new pin to hang beads (this will be the horizontal pin)
(Repeat steps 1-3 until "fringe" is complete)
Step 4: Curl edges of the horizontal pin into loops
Step 5: Attach chain to those loops
Step 6: Attach ring and clasp to open and close necklace
TADA! ... Get creative and have fun!
